You’re not here by accident.

Those who work with me aren’t looking for better scripts, clever techniques or a new “hack” to communicate better.

Instead, they sense that something deeper is “off.” Conversations repeat themselves as superficial transactions, conflict and misunderstanding lingers and it seems like influencing and inspiring others is harder to achieve than they expected.

If something above describes your situation, you should know, the issue has little to do with intelligence or effort.

It’s that communication, your communication and others’ communication, has become disconnected from clarity, alignment and sometimes, purpose.

To paraphrase the Greek Philosopher Heraclitis: No one ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and it won’t be the same person.”

This is where my work begins.

My work begins at that intersection where capable, competent and confident communicators realize that doing more in the way of new techniques and systems isn’t always the answer to effective and transformational communication. Instead, it has to do with something more profound.

It has to do with your alignment. It has to do with what’s inside of YOU.

Asking that question is where truly effective and transformative communication skills can be found.

Many of the outside-in, transactional communication concepts you’ve learned over the years shouldn’t be dismissed. They got you to this far. Yet, the conversations you’ve been having aren’t “landing” the way you had hoped and the connections aren’t being made the way you’d always imagined.

Why Listen to Me?

  • My approach to Communication Improvement appears simple: All human communication is influenced by the internal alignment of the individuals involved and until at least one person is aligned with what is inside them, true communication cannot occur.

    I work with those who are willing to start with themselves, trusting that when that happens, conversations change, relationships shift and influence becomes something earned, rather than engineered.

    I don’t teach influence as a persuasion or control tool. I don’t offer formulas for managing people.

  • In nearly thirty years of working with many professional, religious and educational organizations, I have studied intensively trying to understand Effective Communication and how to improve it. I have worked with individuals and organizations navigating complex leadership challenges, high-stakes conversations, conflicts needing resolution and moments where connection and relationships mattered more than winning with communication techniques.

    My background includes receiving training and experience in coaching, teaching, training and consulting, but I don’t approach these functions as separate roles. They are simply the varied means I use to accomplish a simple goal: to help people think, speak and act with greater clarity and integrity.
